Grace Community Church exists to build quality relationships with God, our neighbors, and our world. We are all born with one basic need: forgiveness of sin and peace with God. Attempts to meet that need are made in a variety of ways; being religious, materialism, seeking acclaim, and escapism through substance abuse. These attempts inevitably end in despair and death.God has provided for our sin to be forgiven and for us to be at peace with Him through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Gary received his formal theological training at The Reformed Episcopal Seminary in Philadelphia, and graduated with a Masters of Divinity in 1986. He served as Assistant Pastor at Trinity Alliance Church, Pomona, New Jersey between 1985 and 1986. He was ordained to Christian Ministry on June 11, 1987 by the Metropolitan District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.

In June 1986, the first service of
Hammonton Alliance Church was held
at 215 Central Avenue, Hammonton. The church was renamed Hammonton
Community Church in 1988 to better
reflect the church philosophy of serving
community families. Activities such as a kids club, model club, weight lifting
club, womens groups, mother / daughter banquets, neighborhood Bible
clubs for children, and adult home fellowships and Bible studies worked to
spread God's Word.
In March of 1989, the church moved to the Winslow Fire Hall off Route 561.
The church's name changed to Grace Community Church in November of
1989. Although the hall did provide needed space, the fire alarm and fire
engines blaring during worship service were a loud signal that perhaps a
fire hall was not the prime location for our church service!
